在写信中，时间、地点、活动、交通方式是非常重要的。除了要学会用英语表达年月日，还需要知道是星期几，是上午或者是下午，具体几点等待。

1、月份：一月January；二月February；三月March；四月Apri；五月May；六月June；七月July；八月August；九月September；十月October；十一月November； 十二月December。

2、星期：星期一Monday；星期二Tuesday；星期三Wednesday；星期四Thursday；星期五Friday；星期六Saturday；星期天Sunday。

3、中文日期：

（1）每月的一号，二号，三号分别是1st, 2nd, 3rd；二十一，二十二，二十三是21st, 22nd, 23rd；三十一是31st；其他的日期只要在数字后面加th就可以了（包括十二，十三）。

（2）中文我们的使用习惯是年月日，而英文是日月年或月日年，比如2012.1.30：Jan.31st，2012或者31st，Jan，2012 (具体几点可直接用**数字表示，如at 8:10)。

（3）表示在哪一年或哪一月用介词in，例如in 1998 表示在具体某一天用介词on。
